Coach Captains: Selected for their expert knowledge and extensive driving experience, your Coach Captain is on hand to assist you with every aspect of the tour. Enjoy their professional commentary and reliable knowledge including numerous facts and figures, myths, legends and many laughs along the way. Every Coach Captain treats their coach as their own, taking pride in maintaining high standards of presentation ensuring the coach looks its absolute best, every single day.
Tour Leaders: Tour Leaders are passionate about New Zealand and work in tandem with the Coach Captain to ensure you have a once-in-a-lifetime holiday experience in New Zealand. Tour Leaders are responsible for the day-to-day wellbeing of the tour group ensuring everyone feels welcome, relaxed and fully informed. They will also accompany the groups to all included prepaid attractions. Our Tour Leaders are a wealth of knowledge, available to provide assistance and firsthand advice to travellers when choosing their optional activities. Tour Leaders are included on Signature Mid-Size Group Tours only.
Local Hosts: As your tour group meets together for the first time at the Welcome Dinner, a GPT Local Host will greet and join you for dinner, assist the tour group to settle in and provide some key information. They will provide you with a warm welcome to New Zealand and ensure everything is ready for your journey with GPT. At the Farewell Dinner, the Local Host will be available to hear all about the wonderful memories you’ve created on tour. They will also be on hand to reconfirm your outbound transfer details (if applicable). Local Hosts are included on Ultimate Small Group Tours only. Welcome and Farewell Dinners in Auckland and Christchurch. There is currently no Local Host in Wellington.
